Fractional Skin Resurfacing
What is Fractional Skin Resurfacing?
Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR) is a treatment that stimulates the body’s skin renewal process. FSR is perfect for improving the appearance of fine lines, skin texture, pore size, acne scarring, and stretch marks. FSR is great for both anti-aging and overall improvement in skin texture.
Many areas can be treated with FSR including:
- Face
- Neck
- Decolletage
- Abdomen (great for stretch marks!)
Primary Aesthetics & Wellness recommends 3-5 treatments is recommended about four weeks apart. Treatment will vary based on skin concerns.
FSR can be combined with microneedling and fractional skin resurfacing. It is encouraged to combine these treatments for maximum results!
What should I expect at my FSR appointment?
Upon arrival to our office in New Waterford, you will have a full consultation with your FSR provider. Together, you and your provider will come up with a treatment plan that addresses your aesthetics concerns. Depending on your treatment areas, you can expect to be in our office for at least 2 hours at you will have a topical numbing agent applied for 45 prior to your procedure.
The fractional skin resurfacing (FSR) handpiece will be applied to the treatment area by your provider. The FSR handpiece has tiny electrodes that will produce both micro-ablation and heat to stimulate collagen production.
Following your treatment, your skin will appear red and feel warm. Skin care products will be applied post-procedure by your provider to help soothe skin. Redness will start to resolve in a few days post-procedure. At that time “grid marks” (tiny pinpoint dots) will appear. These dots will slowly turn to brown and then resolve within 1 week from treatment. Skin may also feel tight, itchy and dry for about 1 week post-treatment which is completely normal and expected.
Results are ongoing and long lasting so you can expect it to take 3-6 months from your final treatment to see maximum results
How much does Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR) cost?
The cost of FSR is largely dependent on the area(s) treated. We at Primary Aesthetics & Wellness recommend combining FSR with radiofrequency microneedling for maximum results. We do offer packages with combinations of FSR, microneedling and radiofrequency with large discounts for combining multiple procedures.
FSR packages include 3 treatments, the recommended amount of treatments for maximum results. We also offer single treatments. FSR treatments start at $900.
